The Rabbit and the Hounds
A rabbit was chased by long‐legged hounds in a forest. "I need to run faster." "Stop, you can't run away from us." The hounds tried their best, but could not catch the rabbit. After a while, the hunter said to his hounds, laughing, "You have long fast legs, why didn't you catch that small rabbit?" One of the hounds said, "Look, we are different from the rabbit. The rabbit ran for its life, we're just running for food."
토끼와 사냥개
어느 날 숲속에서 토끼와 그를 쫓는 사냥개들이 숨 막히는 질주를 벌이고 있었어요. “헉헉, 빨리 뛰자!!” "거기서! 넌 더 이상 도망가지 못해!" 사냥개는 열심히 토끼를 쫓아갔지만 토끼와의 거리는 점점 더 멀어지고 결국 토끼를 놓치고 말았어요. 한 참 후에 사냥개를 따라온 사냥꾼이 빈정거리며 말했죠. ”너는 그렇게 길고 빠른 다리를 가지고 있으면서도 저 작은 토끼를 잡질 못하냐?" 사냥개중 한 마리가 이렇게 말했어요. ”이봐요. 저 토끼와 나는 입장이 달라요. 음식이 탐나서 달리는 것과 목숨을 걸고 달리는 것과는 분명히 다르다 이 말씀입니다."
