The Leopard and the Fox

A leopard and a fox were having an argument in a forest. They were boasting. As they were praising themselves, the leopard said, "Hey, fox. Do you have bright and beautiful spots like me? Look at how nice these are!" The fox answered, "I know you have nice spots, but it's much better to have a brain to judge things than to just have a good‐looking appearance."

표범과 여우 

어느 숲속에서 표범과 여우가 논쟁을 벌이고 있었어요. 그런데 그 논쟁의 주제는 바로 “자기자랑”이었어요. 자신들의 자랑거리를 늘어놓고 있었을 때 표범이 얘기했어요. “이봐 여우, 넌 나처럼 이렇게 다양하고 화려한 얼룩점을 가지고 있냐? 봐라, 얼마나 아름다우냐?” 그러자 여우는 대답했어요. “그래, 네 얼룩점은 보기 좋아. 하지만 여러 색깔과 모양을 가진 육체를 가진 것보다는 나처럼 여러 가지 일을 모두 처리할 수 있는 두뇌를 가지고 있는 쪽이 훨씬 더 낫다구.”​
